About the Artist

Robin Baratz

I paint what calls to me.
It’s an instinctive, emotional attraction. I begin with a neutral, raw under layer and then slowly add color, texture, and depth in stages. Brushes and palette knives are my instruments and my friends in the process.

 

My work is realistic, honoring the authenticity of the scene, though I allow for artist’s license when the painting asks for it.

Private viewings are available for those who wish to experience the paintings in person. The studio is located in Waltham, MA and appointments are by request only, in respect for the residential neighborhood.
 

During a private visit, you may:
 

  • View selected works at full scale and in natural light

  • Ask questions about process, inspiration, or availability

  • Enjoy a relaxed, conversational visit centered on the art with no obligation to buy
